[REVIEW] Melixir Vegan Skincare

In this post, I will introduce you to one of the Korean brands that I really like lately Melixir Korea 

 

Melixir it self carries the concept of "Vegan" in all of their products. All natural and plant-based Ingredients without artificial preservatives (100% vegan * Petroleum Free * Bee-Free). 

And a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to win the "Review Event" from Nearndear X Melixir , and I got a toner and also 3 pieces of lip butter from Melixir.

I was very excited to get all of these products, because I have been reading some excellent reviews from some people who have tried these products for a long time. And just right, my skin condition is in need of a product that is quite soothing and also hydrates more optimally. 

1. Melixir Vegan Balancing Toner 

Made with 100% green tea leaf extract, this toner resets your skin to its ideal pH balance level.  Having too high or low of a pH level will determine your sensitivity to outside pollutants and the sun.  Green tea extract restores your skin to ~ 5.5 pH which is the perfect base for other active ingredients to nourish the skin.  This balancing toner sloughs off dead skin while the Catechin and polyphenols in green tea have active antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that nourish and protect your skin.

This came in a beautiful and sturdy transparent frosted glass bottle with the white plastic cap which is aesthetically pleasing to eyes and I will definitely keep it as a decorative even. 

It has a dark brown color to it, does not have any artificial or prominent scent to it. The scent is basically like natural green tea. The consistency is more on the watery side. It absorbs into the skin easily leaving it hydrated and moisturized. 

It really helps in soothing the skin if you apply it in layers or as a mask which I personally like to do. I really like how it calms my skin and hydrates it at the same time. It is gentle enough to use twice a day and does not irritate the skin anyway. I think every skin type will enjoy it especially the sensitive, acne-prone, dehydrated, and oily skin type will love it for sure. Overall I really like simple yet on point ingredients and the performance of the toner itself is pretty good. I am definitely looking forward to trying more products from Melixir.

For years I've used common brand chapstick, which usually leaves my lips cracked, dry, and damaged.
